LAWRENCEVILLE - A Gwinnett Superior Court judge refused Friday to grant bond to Cody Rhoden, the Gainesville man accused of causing a deadly car crash on I-85 in Gwinnett County.

Judge Dawson Jackson refused to hear testimony from either side in the case, opting to abide by a prior ruling from a Gwinnett magistrate judge who denied bond for Rhoden, 20, six weeks ago.

Jackson cited concern over the number of charges against Rhoden. He faces four counts of vehicular homicide in connection with the wreck on March 31, which left four people dead. Three of the victims were members of one family. The other victim was the driver of a limousine in which the family was traveling.

About 20 members of Rhoden's family appeared in court Friday to support him.
