OAKWOOD - Northeast Georgia Medical Center has one and, now, so does Gainesville State College: a way you view construction progress via the Internet.

The school has installed its first-ever live Web cam so anyone with access to the Internet can watch - in "real time" - as the new student center takes shape.

The Web cam was installed by the GSC Student Technology Help Desk employees under the supervision of the GSC Information Technology Department. While the images are not recorded through the Web cam, daily photos are being made and plans are to produce a time-lapse video upon project completion.

The anticipated completion date for the renovation is October 2008.

To view the live Web cam, visit http://www.gsc.edu and click on the link "Construction of the Student Center Addition."

The medical center, for several months, has used three Web cams cam to show work on its new patient tower. To access them, go to http://www.nghs.com/General%20Pages/NPT%20progress.asp
