Driver flees White Co. wreck

CLEVELAND - Authorities had to chase down on foot the driver of a pickup involved in a wreck Sunday afternoon in White County in which one person was injured.

The state patrol says it happened about 5:00 on Georgia 17 at Georgia 75.

Troopers say the driver, William Gantt, fled on foot after the crash but was quickly captured and faces a host of charges including DUI and leaving the scene of an accident.
