Civil rights legend to be featured speaker

GAINESVILLE - A living legend of the civil rights movement will be the featured speaker Saturday night at the 55th anniversary celebration of the Newtown Florist Club - a Gainesville civil rights and environmental justice organization. <br> <br> Rev. C.T. Vivian was friend of Rev. Martin Luther King Junior and a key player in the civil rights movement and began organizing protests against segregation as early as 1947.<br>
