Two NE Georgia counties declared disaster areas

WASHINGTON - Two Northeast Georgia counties are among 56 counties in the state declared federal disaster areas in the wake of Tropical Storm Frances.

President Bush included Rabun and Elbert in the declarationi which clears the way for the use of federal disaster funds for use by state and local governments in helping recover from damages caused by the storm.

The renmants of Hurricane Frances moved through Georgia September 7-8.
