UNDATED - By the end of the week, students in several school systems in northeast Georgia will be back in school.

Classes resumed Monday in the Barrow County and Jefferson City schools. However, in Barrow, students at Holsenbeck Elementary don't have to report until Thursday because of repairs to the school which was damaged by fire a few weeks ago.

School doors open Tuesday in White and Jackson counties, and in Dawson, Habersham and Hall counties Friday. As for Forsyth and Gwinnett county schools, and the Commerce and Gainesville city systems, classes won't begin until next Monday. And, for Buford students - it's back-to-school August 12th, the latest for any public schools in the immediate Gainesvile area.
