Up to 65 new jobs coming to Habersham

CLARKESVILLE - A new manufacturing plant could bring as many as 65 new jobs to Habersham County over the next 12-18 months.

Glenroe, Inc. will locate in a building now under construction at the Habersham County Industrial Park.

Glenroe is a manufacturer of orthodontic products.

Brent Edwards, chairman of the Habersham Chamber of Commerce, says the plant is scheduled to open in November with 15 employees, with at least 50 more workers expected to be hired within the next year.

"We are pleased that Glenroe has chosen Habersham County as their new home," said Edwards. "They will be a great asset to the county."

Ed Nichols, Executive Director of the chamber, said "this is also an important stemp in replacing some of the manufacturing jobs we have lost over the past two years.
