National debt, deficit to be discussed in Oakwood

OAKWOOD - The national debt and deficits will be discussed at a forum at Gainesville College Wednesday night.

Phil Smith, Southern Director of The Concord Coalition, will lead the discussion.

The meeting will be held at 6:30 in the Continuing Education Building, and is open to the public at no charge.

The Concord Coalition is described as a "nonpartisan, grassroots organization advocating fiscal responsibilty in government." Its board of directors includes former Georgia Senator Sam Nunn and Paul Volcker, past Chairman of the Federal Reserve Board.
