SOCIAL CIRCLE - The state and a private nonprofit organization have joined forces to try and improve recreational use of the Dawson Forest Wildlife Management Area (WMA).

The partners are the state Department of Natural Resources Wildlife Resources Division and Mountain Stewards.

Both have committed to working toward improving and protecting the natural resources of the wildlife management area near Dawsonville and educating the public about what it offers.

The WMA covers 25,000 acres and offers many recreational opportunities.
