The Georgia Association of Latino Elected Officials (GALEO) says Gwinnett County led the way in Georgia as the raw number of registered Hispanic voters there increased by 3,000 - or 135 percent.
The statewide numbers show an increase of 75 percent.
The 56 percent increase in Hall County was coupled with a jump of nearly 10 percent in the number of overall registered voters. The number of blacks registered to vote is up 13.58%; the number of whites increased 8.91%; and, the number of Asians registered to vote in Hall County increased by 94.63% between January 1 and December 1 this year.
Elsewhere in the immediate Hall County area, the number of registered Hispanics in Lumpkin County is up 43.75%; Dawson County, 114%; Forsyth, 59.46%; Habersham, 49.18%; Jackson, 57.38%; Banks, 72.73%; Barrow, 106%; and, White, 47%.
