LAWRENCEVILLE - A rash of recent break-ins and thefts at two of its park-and-ride lots has several riders asking the Gwinnett County Transit Advisory Board for better security measures.

Area riders at the lots on Indian Trail and at I-985 near the Mall of Georgia asked the Board Monday night to install cameras or provide guards to protect commuters' vehicles.

The Board said the lots are owned by the state, which limits their actions.

According to Gwinnett Police records, more than 20 vehciles have been broken into and three stolen since March 10th.

Most of the break-ins have occurred between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. while commuters were at work, records indicated.
