Three NASCAR teams penalized

DAYTONA BEACH, FLORIDA - NASCAR has cited three teams for infractions at the Winston. One of the teams hit by the fines was the winning team. Jimmie Johnson crew chief Chad Knaus was fined one-thousand dollars for an unapproved air directional device. It was found during prerace inspection. <br> <br> The crew chief for Sterling Marlin was also fined. Lee McCall was hit with a ten-thousand dollar penalty for an improperly attached weight that was discovered during prequalifying inspection. <br> <br> NASCAR also confiscated the engine of Dale Jarret&#39;s team because it switched engines. It was determined that switching motors was not warranted.
