Johnny Ray Hall

Obituary Date: Sunday, August 19, 2018

Johnny Ray Hall was born on February 23, 1963 in Crossville, TN; he was called home to our Lord and Savior on August 19, 2018 at the age of 55 after an extended illness.

Johnny grew up in the Rinnie Community and his loving Mother took him and his sisters to the Rinnie Baptist Church, raising the family in the Christian faith. He was very intelligent, outgoing, a leader and loved by his teachers. He was the only son and cherished his close relationships with his four younger sisters and his Mom and Dad who filled their home with unconditional love.

He was the apple of his Granny Ethel’s eye and loved by all. He lived his life to the fullest. He was charismatic, very athletic and pulling a Johnny prank every now and then. He loved the outdoors and bonded with his father while hunting and fishing. Throughout his life he enjoyed camping, boating, skiing, playing poker with his friends and spending time with his family.

Following in his Papaw and Dad’s footsteps, he became a builder in the Atlanta area and was very well respected for the quality of his work. He and Gina built a beautiful home in the North Georgia Mountains where they enjoyed many good times over the last 30 years. Gina and Johnny were best friends and she was always there for “Johnny Ray” as he was for her.

He was preceded in death by his Grandparents Virgil Hall, Ethel Garrision, Roy Moles, Virginia Mead and Special Cousins David Cook, Terry Lynn Underwood and Gina’s Father John Watkins.
He leaves behind Lifelong Soul Mate, Gina Watkins; Mother, Darlene Hall, and Father Butch Hall (Judy); Daughter, Christy Holt (Brad); Grandchildren, Blake, Cenleigh and Celsey; Sisters, Debra Pence (Robert), Judy Horn, Kathy Hall and Terrye Patton (Vernon); (Step Sister’s Kylene Cook {Sam}, Annette Hassler {Tim} and Joy Love); Nephew,s Kyle, Cody, Dustin, Justin, Levi, Logan, Luke, Wil, and Aaron; Step Nephews Chad and Derek; Nieces, Lecherisha (Chuy) and Kalani,.
