Willard “Avery” Stone

Willard “Avery” Stone, age 56, of Cumming, GA passed away on July 31, 2018. He is preceded in death by his father William “Billy” Allen Stone, Sr.

Avery is survived by his mother Mattie Ruth Willard Stone of Cumming, brother William Allen Stone, Jr. of Cumming, niece Alisa Lynn Stone Dennis (Don) of Panama City Beach and their children Stone and Durham, and nephew William Allen Stone, III of Washington, DC.

Avery graduated from Forsyth County High School in 1979. Avery loved to play golf, enjoyed playing the drums, watching NASCAR and pulling for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 2^nd from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm, Friday, August 3^rd from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Saturday, August 4^th from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm at McDonald and Son Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held Saturday, August 4^th at 4:00 pm at Cumming Baptist Church followed by interment at Sawnee View Gardens.

In addition to flowers the family is accepting donations made to the Building Fund at Cumming Baptist Church in Avery’s honor.
