L Nora Norman was born March 29,1947 to the late Nelson Norman Jr. and Lenora (Statom) Norman and was called into eternal rest on Sunday July 15,2018 at 11:30 a.m. in Gainesville, GA. L Nora attended and graduated from Blackwell Memorial High School, Class of 1969.
L Nora accepted Christ at an early age at Fortson Grove Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents Nelson Norman Jr. and Lenora (Statom) Norman. Stepmother Ella Mae Norman, brothers Willie Jack Norman, Leonard Charles Norman, and Melvin Norman.
She leaves to cherish her memories, sisters; Wyvonia Norman, Ima Jean Chapman, Phyllis (Daniel) White, Bernice (Caple) Davis, and Ramona (Avery) Wilson. Brothers; Marion (Mary) Norman, Joe Lewis (Theresa) Norman, Sam (Michele) Norman, David Norman, Nelson Norman III, Lee Andrew Norman, and Washington Canty. Special brother-in-law Harold Chapman and two very special friends Ruby Wilburn and Johanna Cade. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, friends, and the staff at New Horizons West Nursing Home.
I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Thursday July 19, 2018 at Ward’s Funeral Home Chapel. Prophet MacArthur Lipscomb and Bishop C.D. Gearing Jr. will officiate. Interment will follow at Alta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
