Major Bryan Keith Tatterson

Major Bryan Keith Tatterson was promoted to Glory July 7, 2018 in Toccoa, Georgia.

Bryan was born to Lieutenants Harry and Donna Tatterson on September 8, 1966 in Williamson, West Virginia. Bryan graduated from High School in Fairmont, West Virginia and entered the military serving as an Army Infantryman and later serving as a member of the elite “Old Guard”, guarding and escorting Presidential and Vice Presidential parties and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier with the rank of Sargent. In June, he married Marie Armstrong. After a distinct calling from God, he and Marie entered The Salvation Army Training College in Atlanta, Georgia in 1990 and were commissioned two years later with the Followers of Jesus session. They served as Salvation Army Officers in Maryland, West Virginia, Texas, North and South Carolina and Georgia.

He is survived by his wife, Marie Armstrong Tatterson of the home; two sons and daughter-in-law, Jonathan Tatterson of St. Helena Island, South Carolina and David and Emily Tatterson of Alexandria, Virginia; father and step-mother, Majors Harry and Sue Tatterman of St. Helena Island, South Carolina; sister and brother-in-law, Dawn and Ted Lemmons of Coropeake, North Carolina; a niece and nephew.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, July 13, 2018, 10:00 A.M. at The Salvation Army, 2505 North Street, Beaufort, South Carolina 29902. The family will receive friends at The Salvation Army from 9:00 A.M. until the service time.
