David L. Hodges

David L. Hodges, age 65, of Cornelia, Georgia passed away on Friday, June 29, 2018 following an extended illness.

Mr. Hodges was born on April 18, 1953. He was preceded in death by his mother, Carolyn Lewis Hodges; maternal grandparents, Dr. and Mrs. George T. Lewis; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas L. Hodges, Sr. Mr. Hodges was a member of the Clarkesville First United Methodist Church. He was a self-employed real estate broker, and a certified real estate appraiser.

Survivors include his wife, Carol Underwood Hodges, of Cornelia; step-son, Joshua Underwood, of Cornelia; father, Dr. Thomas L. Hodges, Jr. and wife Jackie, of Clarkesville, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Carol Horne and Alan, of Monroe, GA; sister, Nancy Johnson, of Hollywood, GA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Tom Hodges III and Beth, of Elberton, GA; Richard Hodges and Reann Dukes, of Sonoma, CA; Phillip Hodges and Cathy, of Decatur, GA. David was a doting uncle to a host of nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.   

Memorial Services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, July 1, 2018 at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel with Rev. Richard Pletsch, Mr. Richard Hodges, and Mr. Phillip Hodges officiating.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 3:45 p.m., Sunday, July 1, 2018 at the funeral home, prior to the service.
