Clifford David Greeson

Obituary Date: Saturday, March 17, 2018

Clifford David Greeson, age 68 of Lawrenceville, GA and formerly of Buford, GA passed away peacefully March 17, 2018 after a brief illness.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel. Rev. Chad Roebuck will officiate. Interment will follow at Hamilton Mill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 20, 2018 from 11 AM – 2 PM and 4-9 PM at the funeral home. 

David was preceded in death by his parents, James Willie Greeson and Ann Cheek Greeson. He is survived by his ex-wife and good friend, Brenda Greeson, Sugar Hill;  children, Shannon Greeson and wife Michelle, Bethlehem, GA, Stephanie Humphrey and husband Jerry, Sugar Hill, GA, Shelly Logston and husband, Raymond, Winder, GA; seven grandchildren, Luke Humphrey, David Jake Humphrey, Connor and Ashton Greeson, Kade Greeson, Dylan Hewatt and Kristen Stinchcomb, Alyssa Logston, Brady Logston; one great grandson, Hawkins Hewatt; brother and sister in-law, Jimmy and Debbie Greeson, Buford; sister in-law, Barbara O’Rouke, Sugar Hill; several nieces and nephews and a host of family and friends.

David was a graduate of Dacula High School, Class of 1967. He attended Truett McConnell College in Cleveland, Georgia. He worked at General Motors Doraville plant for 20 years where he was Committeeman and member of the UAW. He was founder and owner of Greeson Hauling Trucking Company for 15 years. After his retirement he enjoyed delivering flowers all over Gwinnett County for Lovin Florist in Lawrenceville. David coached youth baseball and basketball when his kids played. He raised cattle, hogs and horses and farmed for many years. He was an avid gardener and grill master. He loved to cook for everyone and see people eat and love his food. David loved the Lord and shared his story of how Jesus saved him with anyone that would listen. David loved spending time with his family, children, grandchildren and great grandson. His most favorite past time was attending all their sporting and school events, birthday parties and cookouts. Peepaw was their number one fan. He would say they all make him the number one Peepaw. His only granddaughter called him Pawpaw and he loved it. He proudly wore those names and say they were his greatest blessings.
