Grazia Fierro D’Amato

Grazia Fierro D’Amato, age 79, of Gainesville, GA passed away on Friday, February 2, 2018. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfonso and Filomena Fierro; brother, Antanio Fierro; and sisters, Giuseppina Fierro and Maria Milanese. She is survived by her loving husband of fifty-four years, Lorenzo D’Amato, Gainesville, GA; children, Maria D’Amato Jones and husband, Danny Cornelia, GA, Elizabeth D’Amato, Kannapolis, NC and Nicolina D’Amato, Waterbury, CT; three granddaughters, Samantha Grazia Melendez, Sylvia Elizabeth White and Sara Marie Gonzales; great grandsons, Aaron Melendez, Elijah Melendez and Loki White; sister, Amelia Delucia, Watertown, CT; brother, Salvatore Fierro, Palm Harbor, FL; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. D’Amato was born April 28, 1938 in Cervinara, Italy. She was a homemaker and she also worked in a Clothing Factory. She was a long-time member of Evangelical Christian Church in Waterbury, CT. She was a very devoted Christian lady who loved her Lord very much with a kind and sweet spirit that touched many lives. She was a loving wife, mom, grandma and great grandma. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Bagwell officiating.  The family will receive friends on Saturday from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
