Ricky Lamar Emmett

Mr. Ricky Lamar Emmett, age 62, of Flowery Branch passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center, surrounded by his family.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 30, 2017 in the Chapel of Memorial Park South Funeral Home with interment following at Memorial Park South Cemetery.  Rev. Scott Tanner, Rev. Will Jackson and Rev. Justin Twiggs will officiate.  The family will receive friends 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Friday, December 29, 2017 at Memorial Park South Funeral Home.

Mr. Emmett was born June 28, 1955 to the late Haskell & Eloise Emmett in Gainesville.  He was a member of Hog Mountain Baptist Church and owner of Camelot Insurance Agency.  Mr. Emmett loved his children and grandchildren, to whom he was known as “Super Papa”.

Mr. Emmett is survived by his wife, Linda Emmett of Flowery Branch; sons & daughters-in-law, Brian & Eva Cooper of Flowery Branch and Greg & Andrea Cooper of Clermont; daughter & son-in-law, Missy & Scott Twiggs of Flowery Branch; grandchildren, Justin Twiggs, Brittany Twiggs, Brianna Cooper, Jordan Cooper, Emily Cooper, Taylor Cooper, and Christopher Cooper; brothers & sisters-in-law, Larry & Paula Emmett of Gainesville, David & Marilyn Emmett of Gainesville, Eddie & Sherry Emmett of Canton, and Danny & Janice Emmett of Grayson; sister & brother-in-law, Dianne & Troy Hicks of Gainesville; and several nieces, nephews & cousins.
