Mr. Robert “Bob” Patrick Jamieson, age 66 of Greenock Cove Road in Toccoa, GA. passed away Sunday, December 17, 2017 at Pruitt Health of Toccoa.
A son of Mrs. Alice Marie Burns Jamieson and the late Robert Alexander Jamieson, he was born March 22, 1951 in Westchester, Pennsylvania having lived for the majority of his life in Downingtown, Pennsylvania where he started his career and once served as President of The Downingtown/Exton Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Jamieson was Regional Sales Manager with Kubota Engine America having retired from the company after thirty-three years of service. He moved to Lawrenceville, GA. In 1983 and Toccoa in 2001. He was a longtime active member of the Toccoa Group of Alcoholics Anonymous which meets at St. Mathias Episcopal Church. He had twenty years of sobriety. Mr. Jamieson was also a hot rod enthusiast. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Alice Clayton.
He is survived by his mother, Alice Marie Burns Jamieson, by two daughters and sons-in-law, Kelly and Dennie Martin of Toccoa and Katherine Lynn and Jon Rosen of Bogart, GA., grandchildren, Emmitt Rosen, Taylor Marie Rosen, and Ryleigh Rosen, two brothers and sisters-in-law, Thomas and Denni Jamieson of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania and Alexander and Bernadette Jamieson of Havertown, Pennsylvania, his girlfriend, Luanne Waters of Toccoa, mother of his children, Lynn Jamieson of Toccoa, and several nieces and nephews.
A Visitation for family and friends will be held at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Thursday, December 21, 2017 from 6 until 8 p.m. The family will have a private Memorial service at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that memorials be made in memory of Mr. Bob Jamieson, c/o St. Mathias Episcopal Church, 995 East Tugalo Street, Toccoa, Georgia 30577.
