Ronald Wayne Roberts

Ronald Wayne Roberts died on November 7, 2017 at his home in Cleveland Ga at the age of 70 after a battle with stage 4 lung cancer.
 
Wayne is survived by his son, Randy Singleton; Daughter in law Tammy Brown; His grand children, Kody singleton, Kaedon singleton, Savannah griffin; Great grand children, Emma singleton, Joaquin singleton, Kody Asher Singleton Oscar Singleton, Jonah Griffin, Willa Ann Griffin; He is also survived by a sister.
He is preceded in death by his mother and father. 
 
Wayne was a driven man with many talents and hobbies including woodworking, diesel mechanics and a housing supervisor and a love of plants and beautiful foreign cars. Wayne was of the Jehovah's Witness faith. When diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer in 2016, he remained dedicated in his work and in his will to fight his illness. He continued to be a brave, iron-willed man. Even throughout his final month Wayne  still cut his grass, maintained his house and property, ate breakfast everyday at Mcdonalds and still engaged in routine phone conversations with his grand children.
 
Wayne was born on May 28, 1947.  He was drafted into the military, where he served in Vietnam as a diesel mechanic. Wayne was married to Sandra Singleton and raised Randy Singleton , after serving his time in the military he went on to work as a mechanic and a carpenter. Wayne also managed Shoal Creek Mobile Estates until his death.
 
Wayne's final wish was to be cremated.  His ashes will be saved in his grandsons home in Alabama. A visitation is planned for Friday, November 17, 2017 from 4-6P.M. at Alexander Funeral Home 2721 Hwy 129 south Cleveland Ga and everyone is  welcome to come. The family would like to thank Wayne’s caregiver and friends for their excellent work, hospitality and loving care and support.
