Robert “Bobby” Voyles

Mr. Robert “Bobby” Voyles, age 81 of Cleveland, passed away on October 19, 2017 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30pm on Sunday October 22, 2017 at Lanier Christian Church, 2235 Dawsonville Highway, Gainesville, Georgia 30506. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. David K. Simpson will be officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00pm on Saturday October 21, 2017 at Memorial Park North Riverside Chapel.

Bobby was born on September 2, 1936 to the late Horace Voyles and Eva Irvin Voyles in Braselton, Georgia. He was a native of Jackson County, but spent the past 15 years in White County. Bobby retired from General Motors as a machinist and was a long-time member of Lanier Christian Church.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents; son Jeffery Ricky Voyles; 3 brothers; 1 sister.

Bobby is survived by his wife Tilda Turner Voyles of Cleveland; daughter Brenda Thomas of Decatur, AL; daughter and son-in-law Lawanda and Frank Boroughs of Faulkville, AL; daughter and son-in-law Rhonda and Mark Owens of Corpus Christi, TX; daughter and son-in-law Pam and David Lefrois of Gainesville; son Greg Crane of Clermont; daughter and son-in-law Kim and Kelden Merck of Lula; daughter Audra Crane Collins of Cleveland; daughter and son-in-law Tricia and Jeff Smith of Alto; brother and sister-in-law Elbert and Judy Voyles of Baldwin; brother and sister-in-law Harold and Mildred Voyles of Jefferson; sister Mary Lee of Murrayville; sister and brother-in-law Geraldine and Raymond Brooks of Seneca, SC; 19 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
