Audrey Richardson Ayers

Mrs. Audrey Richardson Ayers, age 89 of 1524 Mize Road, Toccoa, Georgia passed away Monday, September 18, 2017 at the Oaks at Scenic View Nursing Home.

A daughter of the late N.R. and Sara Rice Richardson, she was born October 8, 1927 in Fair Play, South Carolina having lived most of her life in Stephens County.  She was retired from the Stephens County School System.  She was the last living charter member of Sunnyside Baptist Church and a member of the Dorothy Middleton Woman’s Missionary Union of the Church.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clinton Ayers in 2015 and by a sister, Mary Eta Bailey.

Survivors include her daughter, Gail Mann of Alpharetta, Georgia; son, Dale Ayers of Eastanollee; two grandchildren, Melanie and Dominic Cristelli and Greg Mann; three great-grandchildren, Anthony, Audrey and Avery Cristelli; brother and sister-in-law, Ron and Linda Richardson of Summerset, Kentucky; sister, Shirley Ward of Toccoa.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 20, 2017, 2 O’clock P.M. in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend John Thomas officiating.  The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Kyle Blackwell, David Bailey, Austin Blackwell, Greg Mann, Dominic Cristelli and Ron Richardson.

The family will be at the home of Dale Ayers, 1416 N. Broad River Road, Eastanollee and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Wednesday from 1 P.M. until the service time.

Interment will follow in the Stephens Memorial Gardens with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Audrey Richardson Ayers.
