Richard Allen Cobb

Mr. Richard Allen Cobb, age 56 of 924 Long Road, Toccoa passed away Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at his residence.

A son of the late Tom Ed and Sara Dooley Cobb, he was born April 9, 1961 in Stephens County, Georgia where he lived all his life.  He was a 12 year Veteran of the U.S. Army having served in Desert Storm.  He was retired from Georgia Department of Transportation in the capacity as Surveyor and Statewide Location Bureau Chief after 23 years of service.  He was a member of the Toccoa Elks Lodge.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Brittany Cobb.

Survivors include his wife of the home, Claudia Geissler Cobb; four daughters and sons-in-law, Nadine and Andrew Scott of Toccoa, Christina and Joshua Oliver of Mt. Airy, Jessica Cobb of Foley Beach, South Carolina and Tabitha and Ted Ruble of Maryland; son, Matthew Cobb of Macon, Georgia; grandchildren, Anna Grace Scott, Avery Scott, Jasper Oliver, Coraline Oliver, Regan Ruble and Landon Ruble; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Marie and Richard Spearman of Roswell, Georgia and Ginger and Bob Millosovic of Cumming, Georgia; a number of nieces and nephews. 

Memorial services will be Friday, August 4, 2017, 4 O’clock P.M. in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Jerrell Beatty officiating. Military Honors by the Georgia National Guard Honor Guard.

The family will receive friends at the Toccoa Elks Lodge after the service to celebrate his life.
