Timothy Paul Armour

Obituary Date: Monday, July 31, 2017

Monday, July 31st, 2017, Timothy Paul Armour passed into Heaven's gates into the loving arms of His Savior and his beloved father, William Paul Armour. His grandparents were waiting with open arms: Fed and Eva Anderson and Royster and Nancy Armour. He died as a result of a recent illness at the age of 54.

Left to mourn and cherish his memory is his beloved mother, Geneva Armour Jones, Jeff Jones, cherished sister, Kimberly Armour Parr, and Larry Parr, and step-brother, Mathew Jones. Tim adored his nephews and nieces: Will, Marissa, Sean, Laura and Catherine. Will was his pride and joy. He loved to play with him. God blessed him with Will and Tim never took that for granted.

Tim is best known for his days as the fun-loving pianist who loved to play the songs of faith. He began to play the piano at the age of five. He spent twelve years as the Minister of Music at Free Chapel in Gainesville, Georgia under the direction of Jentezen Franklin. Fans will also remember his regular appearances with Nancy Harmon as part of the Celebration Singers.  Additionally, Tim was a vocalist for CS&K, winners of 2010 NQC talent search.  He has been involved in Southern Gospel music for many years with groups such as The Chapeleers, The Mulls, The Seekers, and most recently, becoming the pianist for Debra Perry and Jaidyn's Call.  He played and sang for numerous funerals and weddings. He was so loved and respected for his kindness and goodness. Never seeking accolades, just a kind word and a good meal.

Because of his deep faith, Tim turned his talents into a career in Christian music as a singer and pianist. His vocal talents were exceptional and his testimony was inspiring. His family was of ultimate importance in his life. Other than his faith in Jesus, nothing was more precious to him than his family and friends. Tim's humor, and quick wit were legendary, as well as his ability to share his message of love and redemption through Jesus Christ. His kind and loving spirit will be missed by all, he was a good and faithful servant of God, touching countless lives. "Jesus said, I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live." John 11:25.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday August 3, 2017 at the Riverbend Baptist Church.  Rev. Maxey Ladd and Dr. Kent Barrett will officiate.  Interment will follow in the Westview Cemetery in Lula.  The family will receive friends at Little & Davenport Funeral Home Wednesday August 2 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.
