MacKean James Robertson

Obituary Date: Friday, July 14, 2017

MacKean James Robertson, a recent graduate of Georgia Cyber Academy, former Forsyth Central High School student, and life-long resident of Cumming, Georgia, died suddenly in a motor vehicle accident on Friday, July 14, 2017 at the age of 18. 

MacKean was very blessed with a very large, close, and loving family.  Immediate surviving family members are his parents, Nicole Bahret (nee Robertson), and Brad Buice, and siblings, EmmaRae Bahret, Elijah Bahret, Susan Buice, and PJ Buice.  He is also survived by his grandparents, Linda Robertson, and Van and Ronda Robertson.  He is survived by several aunts and uncles, Edward and Sonja Hopkin (nee Robertson), Lesley Robertson, Clay and Baylee Robertson, and Kelly and Angie Grassmuck.  His immediate cousins include Brett Hopkin, Vance Hopkin, Easton Robertson, Mason Robertson, Sutton Robertson, Erin Mercurio and Jordan Grassmuck.

There are numerous family friends that grieve his loss just as much as family.

MacKean was born on November 23, 1998, to Nicole Robertson.  He attended Mashburn Elementary, Otwell Middle School, Forsyth Central High School, and graduated from Georgia Cyber Academy on June 3, 2017.  He just started a career at ISS Facilities Services, Inc. as a general maintenance technician entering an apprenticeship for data center facility maintenance. 

MacKean loved God, family, friends, and music.  He played the French horn and marched in the Forsyth Central “Flash of Crimson” for three years playing the mellophone.  He was a very special force of nature, kind-hearted, loving, and always willing to help anyone with a project, he had a brilliant mind and was also mechanically inclined.  He is more loved than he ever knew and will be missed more than he ever could have imagined. 

The family will receive visitors on Thursday, July 20, 2017, from 6-8 pm, and on Friday, July 21, 2017, from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm.  His funeral service will be on Saturday, July 22, 2017, at 1 pm at Cumming First United Methodist Church.  Immediately after the service, he will be laid to rest at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens.
