Billy Corbin

Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 p.m. Wednesday July 12, 2017 at Ward’s Funeral Home for Billy Corbin, age 82, of Gainesville. Rev. Stephen Wood will officiate. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Ward’s Funeral Home. Mr. Corbin passed away July 9, 2017.

A native of Cottondale, Florida, Mr. Corbin was the son of the late Willie C. and Bazzie (Kent) Corbin. Mr. Corbin had lived in Hall County since 1976. He was an avid golf player and loved being with his friends at Chicopee Golf Course. He served in the U.S. Navy and graduate of Florida State University. Mr. Corbin was employed and

Retired from the Federal Government as a ATF Agent. He was a member of Pine Crest Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Corbin; daughter and son in law, Libby and Nick Gazaway; son and daughter in law, Ken and Tricia Corbin; grandchildren and spouses, Joshua and Sarah Gazaway, Courtney and David Elstein, Laura and William DeLePerriere; great grandchildren, Braylynn and Corbin Elstein; special friends, Phillip and Debbie Kimsey and family; and all his friends at Chicopee Woods Golf Course.
