Linda Adamd McEntire

Obituary Date: Friday, June 30, 2017

LINDA ADAMS MCENTIRE, age 71 of Demorest, Georgia went home to be with the Lord on Friday, June 30, 2017 at the Habersham Medical Center.
Born in Hall County, Georgia on August 25, 1945, she was a daughter of the late Helen Poole Hawkins. Linda grew up in the Habersham Mills Community and would often post her fond memories of growing up there as a child on her Facebook page. She enjoyed coaching her children as well as many other youth in local recreation ball for over 20 years. Linda also enjoyed working with the children for many years at Habersham Baptist Church. She retired as an Instructor from Mountain Resources with many years of dedicated service. Linda was a member of the Line Baptist Church. She loved her family tremendously and was a very loving wife, Mama, Nana, and Aunt.  

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her step-father, Ernest “Lit” Hawkins, sister, Barbara Jo McEntire, grandparents, Rev. Henry & Amanda Hawkins Poole, brothers-in-law & sister-in-law, Ed, Jr. & Edna McEntire, Harold McEntire, Walter Jay McEntire, & George Randolph McEntire.

Survivors include her loving husband of 55 years, Gary B. McEntire of Demorest; daughters & sons-in-law, Lynn & Dean Biegeleisen of Jefferson, Lisa & Randy Barrett of Demorest, & Kimberly McEntire of Clarkesville; grandson, Robert Gary “Robby” Barrett of Demorest; brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law, Charles K. McEntire, Sr. of Clarkesville, Larry & Nancy McEntire of Panama City Beach, FL., Ruth McEntire of Cornelia, Ruthelene McEntire of Clarkesville, Ila McEntire of Demorest; one aunt, two uncles, several special nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins other relatives, & friends

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 03, 2017 from the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home with the Rev. Kenneth McEntire and the Rev. Billy Poole officiating. Interment will follow in the Habersham Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3-5 p.m. & 7-9 p.m. on Sunday.
