Willene Stamey Terrazas

Willene Stamey Terrazas, age 80, of Cumming, passed away Saturday, June 24, 2017. Willene was raised in Clarkesville, Georgia and was a Graduate of Habersham High School where she played Basketball. She moved to Atlanta in 1958 where she met the love of her life, Armando Terrazas. They were married in May of 1959 and, after the birth of their daughter Tina, moved to Mexico City in 1961, where they welcomed their second daughter, Patricia. They moved in 1964 to Michigan, where their son, Michael, was born.

During their time in Michigan, they were transferred to Valencia, Venezuela, and Hermosillo, Mexico. After Armando’s retirement, they retired to Cumming, Georgia. She was a member of First Baptist Church Cumming and sang in the choir. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by husband, H. Armando Terrazas of Cumming; daughters and son-in-law, Tina and Stephen Stubbs of Gainesville, Patricia Terrazas of Buford; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Shelly Terrazas of Lilburn; brother and sister-in-law, Willard and Ann Stamey of Cleveland; sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and Bill Anderson of Clarkesville; grandchildren, Amanda Coker, Ashley Papastefanou, Andrew Brown, Lincoln Stubbs, Michaela Stubbs, Adam Pugh, Alexandra Terrazas, Maddox Terrazas; great-grandchildren, Brynleigh Papastefanou, Elias Papastefanou.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 28th, at 3:00 pm at Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Haron officiating. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm and from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
