Ellis "Cat" Wallaca Jones

Ellis "Cat" Wallace Jones, age 64, of Winder passed away Friday, June 9, 2017.  Mr. Wallace was a hunter, fisherman and loved to live off the land.  He loved his family and life his way.  Survivors include his son Jason Jones of Statham; daughter Maggie Evans and husband Brian of Winder; brothers James "Bear" Jones and wife Peggy, Tommy Jones and wife Bobbi, Robert Jones and Lonnie Jones all of Statham; sisters Mary Wilson and husband Shedrick of Jackson County, Jenny Brock and husband Bo of Statham, Ann Crowe and husband Terry of S.C.; grandchildren Jacob Jones and Ryan Evans.  He is preceded in death by his parents Lonnie and Maggie Toney Jones.  

Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Monday, June 12, 2017 at Lawson Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment will follow at Providence Methodist Church Cemetery, Providence Road, Statham, GA.  The family will receive friends 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Sunday, June 11, 2017 at the funeral home.
