Bobby Williams

Mr. Bobby Williams, age 82 of 3341 Liberty Hill Road, Eastanollee, Georgia passed away March 6, 2017, at Stephens County Hospital.

A son of the late Lloyd Edward Williams and Hazel (Little) Williams, he was born March 4, 1935, in Rocky Mount, North Carolina where he lived until he went into the United States Navy in 1952.  Bobby then worked as an electrician in Casper, Wyoming before moving back to North Carolina where he worked for Mayflower Van Lines, and then in the telephone industry for Continental Telephone. He then worked in Atlanta, doing maintenance, repair and remodeling. Bobby moved to Stephens County in 1985 where he owned his own construction company, eventually building Stumpy’s Convenience Store in Martin, Georgia. Bobby sold Stumpy’s and retired in 1997. Bobby was a member of VFW Post 4346, American Legion and the Moose Lodge. He was preceded in death by his brother Donald Williams.

Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Vivian Martin of Auburn, Georgia and Robin and Keith Palmer of Cumming, Georgia; granddaughters, Amanda and her husband, Nick Skains, Whitney Martin, Megan Martin and Amelia Palmer; four (4) great-granddaughters, Abbi, Annie, Cady and Kennedy; one sister, Charlotte Williams of Denver, Colorado and one brother Cecil Williams of Rocky Mount, North Carolina.

A memorial service in celebration of Bobby’s life will be held Tuesday, March 14, 2017, 5 o’clock P.M. at the VFW Post 4346, 270 W. Savannah Street, Toccoa, Georgia 30577.
