Shirley Malone McGehee

Mrs. Shirley Malone McGehee, 84, of Flowery Branch passed away on Friday March 3, 2017 following an extended illness.

          Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, March 6, 2017 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Mike Taylor and Grandson, Matthew Wade will officiate. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, March 5, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

          Born on January 27, 1933, in Savannah, GA, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Stephens and Margaret Ball Stephens. She was a homemaker and mother and a member of Flat Creek Baptist Church.

          In addition to her parents, Mrs. McGehee is preceded in death by her husband, Cecil McGehee and sister, Juanita Pless.

Mrs. McGehee is survived by her daughters and sons in law, Sandra (Glenn) Long of Cleveland, Elaine (Jimmy) Wade of Flowery Branch, Jane (Tom) Morris of Flowery Branch; sister, Catherine Garrison of Pittsburg, PA; sister and brother in law, Barbara (Wayne) Poole of Lula; sisters, Margaret Orr of Palatka, FL, Betty Irvin of Lula; sisters and brothers in law, Brenda (Jimmy) Bullock of Lula, Mary (Wayne) Strickland of Lula; grandchildren, Michael, Keith, Matthew, Josh, Luke, Jake;13great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild and a number of other relatives.
