Barbara 'Bobby' 'Nanny' Durham

Barbara “Bobby” "Nanny” Durham, 84, of Dawsonville passed away Friday March 3, 2017 at the Oaks at Limestone following a period of declining health.

Born September 10, 1932 in Sharpsburg, Georgia to the late Ernest and Dorothy Brown, she had been living in Dawson County for the past 15 years having moved from Shiloh, Georgia.  Mrs. Durham retired from the Harris County School System where she worked as a school bus driver for over 30 years.  A loving and devoted mother and grandmother, she attended Free Chapel in Gainesville and was also preceded in death by her husband, Joe S. Durham; children, Rhonda Jo Lipp, Ernest Roy “Bud” Durham; brother, Dr. E.E. Brown.

Surviving are her children, Donna “Kay” and Bob Barry, Waverly Hall, GA, Mark and Faith Durham, Dawsonville; grandchildren, Jenny Eastman, Roy Durham, Neil Rozell, Joey Durham, Benji Durham, Cory Rozell, Blake Durham, Grant Durham, Leanne Harden, Haley Galvin, Dessie Durham, Sarah Durham; numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Graveside services will be held Sunday March 5, 2017 at 2 o’clock at Durham Family Cemetery.  Pastor Ricky Lipp will officiate.
