Betty Joan Scott Vaughan

Mrs. Betty Joan Scott Vaughan, 60, of Dahlonega passed away February 1, 2017 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 4, 2017 in the chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home.  Rev. Grady Hester and Rev. John Wood will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, February 4, 2017 from 12:00 p.m. until the service hour.  

Born on December 31, 1956, she was the daughter of the late Herschel and Betty Scott Armstrong. Mrs. Vaughan was retired from Lumpkin County School System where she drove a bus. She was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Vaughan is preceded in death by her step father, Bill Armstrong and sister, Elaine Jackson.

Mrs. Vaughan is survived by husband, Ronald Lee Vaughan of Dahlonega; son and daughter in law, Shane and Mehele Denmon of Dahlonega; son, Jamie Denmon of Cleveland; son and daughter in law, Denton and Amy Vaughan of Flowery Branch; grandson, Cody Denmon; grandchildren, Brittany Denmon, Jordan Ingram, Abigail Denmon, Halie Vaughan, Rylee Vaughan; brothers and sisters in law, Miles and Penny Scott of Banks, Co., Wayne and Tammy Scott of Dahlonega and a number of aunts, uncles, and extended family.
