Mrs. Donetta Mae Haas, born August 25, 1930, made her transition from this life into the loving arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on February 1st, 2017.

Haas of Atlanta, Georgia, Kathryn D. Kusisto (husband Raymond) of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Steven P. Haas (wife LaRinda) of Clermont, Florida, Bryan D. Donetta was a successful commercial artist for a major Department Store in Terre Haute, Indiana where she created fashion illustrations for advertising when she met her future husband, Paul on June 9, 1954.  They were married on June 10th, 1955 and soon began raising a family.  She continued to develop her artistic talents in painting, clay sculpture, Japanese Hari tissue paper art, and with her husband, welded metal sculpture.  She advanced her knowledge of art through studies earning a fashion and merchandizing Associates of Art Degree in the 1980’s.   Donetta was a teacher of an Assertiveness course at Delta College, University Center, Michigan helping many people to reach their full potential.  She was able to pass along her knowledge of human nature and foibles to her husband and children as well as her students which were invaluable in dealing successfully with so many of life’s problems.  She was devoted to her husband Paul and to her five children and created a loving nurturing home filled with   laughter, life guiding conversations, great food, art, and a lifetime of fond memories.  She loved her four grandchildren (Kathryn and Ray’s children) dearly, helping to welcome each one into the world.

We will miss Donetta’s warm soul and wicked sense of humor more than mere words can convey but know with confidence she is smiling down on us in heaven waiting to welcome us home when our time comes.  A viewing will be held Friday February 3rd from 6-8 pm at 2030 Memorial Park Drive, Memorial Park Funeral Home, Gainesville.  The funeral mass will be held at Good Shepherd Church, 3740 Holtzclaw Road, Cumming on Saturday February 4th at 11:30 am.
