Jack Alba Elliott, Jr

 Mr. Jack Alba Elliott, Jr., age 77 of Gainesville, passed away on Monday, January 23, 2017 at his residence following a sudden illness. 

Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, January 26, 2017 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery.  Reverend Junior Jones and Reverend Grady White will officiate.  The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 from 6 – 8 pm at the funeral home.    

Mr. Elliott was born September 22, 1939 in Ellijay, Georgia to the late Jack Elliott, Sr. and Mary Loggins Elliott.  He was a retired carpenter and a member of Fairview Baptist Church.  Jack was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Jerry Lee Elliott. 

Mr. Elliott is survived by his wife, Dora Virginia Collins of Gainesville, daughter, Starr N. Elliott of Dawsonville, half-sister, Shelia Diver of Gainesville, half-brother, Terry Garrison of Gainesville and a number of other family and friends.
