Lou Ellen Rich

Lou Ellen Rich age 84, of Mt. Airy, Georgia, went to be with The Lord on Wednesday, October 19, 2016.

Ms. Rich was born on April 15, 1932 in Mt. Airy, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Ruby Anderson; sisters, Kathleen Anderson, Sue Hicks, Martha Manniko; brother, John Anderson. Ms. Rich was a member of Welcome Home Baptist Church and was a seamstress.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Lou Anne and Sam Medlock, of Lula; daughters, Robin Rich, of Mt. Airy; Gay Rich and Ann Cannon, of Omaha, NE; son, Sammy Williams, of Cornelia; sisters, Lee Thompson, of Marietta; Judy Tanksley, of Cornelia; brothers, Paul Anderson, of Braselton; Joe Anderson, of Doraville; James Anderson, of Tucker; Harold “Bud” Anderson, of Alto; Simon Anderson, of Mt. Airy; David Anderson, of Cornelia; Daniel Anderson, of Eastanollee; six grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 3:00 p.m., Saturday, October 22, 2016 at Welcome Home Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Ryals officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 600 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, October 21, 2016 at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel.
