Faye Woodall Peavey

Faye Woodall Peavey, age 74 of Homer, Georgia, passed away Wednesday, October 19, 2016.

Born in Memphis, Tennessee on September 1, 1942, she was a daughter of the late James Raymond Woodall and Marilyn Raburn Woodall. Mrs. Peavey was a retired secretary from Westminster Presbyterian Church in Gainesville. She was an active member and former deacon at the First Presbyterian Church of Cornelia. Mrs. Peavey was a member of the National Honor Society.

Surviving are daughter and son-in-law, Lynda & Joe Hitchcock of Harts, West Virginia; sister, Jean Woodall of Decatur, Georgia; nephew and spouse, Simon & Annemarie Dunham of New York City, New York; cousin, Nancy Davis of Rome, Georgia; special friends, Sue & Garth Smith of Cornelia and longtime high school friend, Maxine Pinckard of Auburn, Alabama.

Memorial services are 1:00 pm Saturday, November 12, 2016, at the First Presbyterian Church of Cornelia with Rev. Jason Edwards and Rev. Blaine Walker officiating. All family and friends are requested to meet at the church by 12:30 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Cornelia, PO Box 165, Cornelia, GA 30531.
