Stella Haney Cathey

Stella Haney Cathey, age 87 of Clarkesville passed away Monday, September 26, 2016.   

Memorial services will be held Thursday, September 29, 2016 at 2:00 PM from the Clarkesville Baptist Church with Rev. Grady Walden officiating. 

Born in Banks County on February 9, 1929, Mrs. Cathey was the daughter of the late Hubert and Effie Hamilton Haney.  She spent her entire working career in the medical field having worked for the offices of Dr. Tom Hodges and Dr. Robert Miller, which she retired from.  Mrs. Cathey was a volunteer with the Clarkesville Soup Kitchen and she was an avid traveler.  She was a member of Clarkesville Baptist Church. 

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Cathey is preceded in death by brothers James Haney and Hubert Haney, Jr. and sisters Anne Murray and Lucy Hodges.  ? 

Survivors include daughter and son in law Patricia and Don Ansley of Cornelia, son and daughter in law Doug and Kelly Cathey of Loganville, brother Brady Haney of Cornelia, sister and brother in law Ethel and Al Crawford of Senoia, grandchildren Luke, Ty and spouse Abbey, Jessica and spouse Jeffery, and Daniel, great grandchildren Clayton, Chloe, and Phoebe. 

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to: Clarkesville Baptist Church Building Fund, 1287 Washington Street, Clarkesville, GA 30523. ????
