Dillard Eugene Savage

Mr. Dillard Eugene Savage, age 55 of Toccoa passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at his residence.

A son of the late Eulus and Cora Lee Morris Savage, he was born April 8, 1961 in Stephens County, Georgia where he lived all his life.  He was employed with Cobb’s Roofing for a number of years and was of the Baptist faith.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers.

Survivors include his wife of the home, Geneva Thurmond Savage; daughter, Cherrish Savage of Martin; grandsons, Christopher Stephen and Brenton Stephen; brothers and sister-in-law, Stevie and Beverly Savage and Jamie Savage both of Toccoa; sisters and brothers-in-law, Linda and Raymond Mooney, Kathy and Louie Johnson and Marie and Jody Bohannon all of Toccoa; step-children, Misty Tugman, Amy Kelly and Kevin Kelly; ten step-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Friday, September 2, 2016, 3 O’clock PM in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with the Reverend Judy Savage Carruth officiating. The following will serve as pallbearers, Doug Savage, John Bohannon, Buck Bohannon, Abby Turpin, Brenda Griffin, Michelle McDonald, Jerry Griffin and Dustin Bohannon.  Honorary pallbearers will be Christopher Stephen and Brenton Stephen.

The family will be at the home on Coker Road and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Thursday from 6 PM until 8 PM. Online condolences can be made at www.acree-davisfh.com.

Interment will follow in the Toccoa City Cemetery with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mr. Dillard Eugene Savage.
