Larry Christopher Winkler

Alexander Funeral Home of Cleveland announces the death of Mr. Larry Christopher Winkler, age 65 of Cleveland. Larry passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2016. Funeral services services are scheduled for 11:00am, Friday,  August 19, 2016 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Greg Poole and Rev. Phillip Robinson officiating. Interment will follow in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery. Larry was born in Lumpkin County on November 25, 1950 the late J.B. Winkler and Bonnie Ravan Winkler. He had lived most of his life in White County and was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church. Larry was a faithful and devoted man of God who loved his family and was especially proud of his grandsons. His other passion was his tractors, his knowledge of them seemed to be endless. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his Granny Ravan and PaPa Ravan. Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Brenda Winkler, Cleveland, son and daughter in law, Nathan and Christie Winkler, Cleveland, grandsons, Cam Winker and Brody Winkler, Cleveland? brother and sister in law, Ed and Doris Winkler; brothers in law, Wayne Winkler; and brother and sister in law; Ron Susie Winkler. Larry is also survived his numerous nephews, close friends and acquaintances The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 2 to 4 pm and again from 6 to 8pm. Flowers will be acknowledged, however it is requested that memorial donations be made to either the American Diabetes Association, 1701 North Beauregard St., Alexandria, VA 22311 or the American Heart Association, P.O.Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284­0692 To share a memory of Larry or to send a condolence, please visit www.alexander­funeral.com Alexander Funeral Home of Cleveland in charge of arrangements (706)865­1500
