Callie Bennett Pullen

Callie Bennett Pullen, a native of Hall County, passed away on Wednesday evening at Presbyterian Home of Quitman, Georgia.  She was born to William L. Bennett and Ethel LeMaster Bennett of Gainesville on March 10, 1920.  She was reunited with her parents, six of her brothers and four sisters awaiting her in heaven.  Callie is survived by brother: Ben and wife Alba Bennett, sisters-in law June Bennett and Pat Bennett. 

She leaves a legacy of three children and their families: Jack and Linda Pullen Napoleone of Boston, GA; Steve and Margaret Pullen Collins of Snellville, GA; Ernest and Melanie Pullen of Canton, GA; grandchildren, Nathan Jones (Lisette), Meghan Pullen Wilson (Lance), Savannah Pullen Tucker (Jordan); Blake Pullen, Amelia Pullen Tillman (Alex); great -grandchildren Riley, Devin, and Brielle Wilson; Graham Tucker; step great-grandchildren Marjorie Torres, Nancy Torres and Saraih Torres; step great-great-grandchildren Javier Perez and Julian Nieves.

Mrs. Pullen loved people and was a familiar face at Big Star, later at Brenau College and retired in her 80’s from the Uniform Shop of Gainesville. Mrs. Pullen was active in the Eastern Star in Gainesville and formerly a member of Lakewood Baptist Church of Gainesville. The Pullen family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home, 2030 Memorial Park Road, Gainesville, GA on August 15, at 1:00pm. Services will immediately follow at 2:00pm in celebration of the life of their matriarch with internment at Memorial Park Cemetery.
