Ford Melton Ash Sr.

Obituary Date: Thursday, July 7, 2016

Ford Melton Ash Sr. passed away at one of his favorite places on July 7, 2016. The hunting camp where he found peace and felt closes to God and his son Ford Ash Jr. who is in Heaven.  He cherished his faith in God and his family.

Ford was born in Lumpkin County, Georgia to Ben and Era Ash. He served his country in the Army reserves.  He retired from Globe Life Insurance after 35 years of service.

He is survived by his wife Marie Ash, His daughter Sonya Ash, His daughter and Son-in-Law Sabrena and Scott Kapetanis, His daughter-in-law Christine Ash, His brother and sister-in-law Dr. Wade and Boots Ash, His brother and sister-in-law Ben and Alice Ash, granddaughter Ashley (Ashley Girl) Ash, grandson Ford (Tre Boy) Ash III, grandson Kody (Kody Boy) Kapetanis, granddaughter Kristin (Puddin) Kapetanis; and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life service will be held at Memorial Park North Riverside Chapel, on Sunday July 10, 2016 at 3:00. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday July 9th from 4:00 till 8:00. Interment will be at Congressional Holiness Church Cemetery, Murrayville, Ga.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to: Corinth Baptist Church Building Fund, 3590 Thompson Bridge Road, Gainesville Ga.
