Mrs. Choon Ok Redmond, age 80, of Cumming, GA, entered into rest on Sunday, July 3, 2016, at home in Cumming surrounded by her family. Born in 1936 in Pusan, Korea, she married Harry Keith Redmond and emigrated to the United States in 1958.
She lived in Augusta for almost 40 years until relocating to Cumming, GA where she has lived for the last 4 years. Known as “Mona” to her friends, she was a supervisor at Murray Biscuit Company in Augusta for over 20 years until her retirement in the early 1990’s. She will be remembered for her strong will and character and fierce devotion to her family.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Harry Keith Redmond, and is survived by her 4 sons, Thomas John Redmond (Jill), Cumming, GA, Robert Dale Redmond, New York, NY, Patrick Keith Redmond (Teresa), Martinez, GA, and Richard Lee Redmond (Bob Baker), Lugoff, SC, and her 5 grandchildren, Amanda Blair Redmond and Patrick Keith Redmond, Jr., Medford, OR, and Robert Cole Redmond, Jennifer Allie Redmond, and Andrew John Redmond, Cumming, GA.
A service will be held at 2 pm on Friday, July 8, 2016 at Bellevue Memorial Gardens Chapel, Grovetown, GA. The family will receive friends at 1pm in the chapel.
