Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 26, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ward's Funeral Home for Charles E. Humphries, 89, of Gainesville. Interment will follow at Alta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Humphries died May 22, 2016.
A native of Hall county, Mr. Humphries was the son of the late Roy and Opal (Spencer) Humphries.
Survivors include wife, Virginia Lee Humphries; son, David Humphries; daughter, Teresa Humphries; 8 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren.
