Empsey Odell Barrier

Mr. Empsey Odell Barrier, age 76, of Maysville, GA died Thursday, February 25, 2016 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.  Mr. Barrier was born in Hickory, NC to the late Emcy and Anna Avery Barrier.  He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and a member of the American Legion.  Mr. Barrier was a retired truck driver.

Mr. Barrier is survived by his wife, Roberta Keen Barrier of Maysville; children, Karen Barrier of CA, Jerri Lynn Barrier of TN, Shelly Zonker of KY, Tim Barrier of VA, Jennifer Nader of CO, Mark Barrier of VA, Charles Keen of Athens, GA, Tina Neal of Auburn, GA, Corrie Evans of Commerce, GA and Ricky Barrier of Athens, GA; brother, Allen Barrier of NC; sister, Mary Beach of NC; 24 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held Sunday, February 28 at 4 PM at Warrens Chapel UMC with Rev. Terry Hagwood officiating. 

Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce is in charge of arrangements.
