Junior Homer Young

Mr. Junior Homer Young, age 72 of Gainesville, passed away Thursday, February 11, 2016 at his residence following an extended illness.

            Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, February 13, 2016 at 12:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Reverend Tom Fish will officiate.  The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 13, 2016 from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm, prior to the service, at the funeral home.

            Mr. Young was born June 25, 1943 in Cumming, Georgia to the late Frank William Young and Mandy Pairlee Gravitt Young.  He was retired from the City of Gainesville and was of the Baptist Faith.  Junior was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Joyce McClure Young, his sister, Doris Martin and his brothers, James William Young and Raymond Lee Young.

            Mr. Young is survived by his children, Fannie Sue & Darryl Casey of Gainesville, Clara O’Neal of Gainesville and Becky & Luke Conner of California, 8 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, sisters, Lois Bryant and Barbara Young, both of Gainesville and brothers, Cecil Young and David Young.
