Mary Barnett Tabor

Obituary Date: Thursday, December 10, 2015

Mary Barnett Tabor, 56 passed away on December 10, 2015 at Dekalb Medical Center in Decatur, Georgia. She was born on July 4, 1959 in Winder, Georgia. Mary grew up in Jefferson, Georgia. She attended school at Jefferson High School. After high school she worked several different jobs throughout the Jackson County and Hall County areas.

Mary married Dillard Tabor in 2005. She was an active member of Bush River Baptist Church in Maysville, Georgia. Her interests included spending time with her kids and grandkids, traveling, watching wrestling and spending time with her two dogs Bruno and Misfit. She also enjoyed watching Bull riding and the Atlanta Falcons as well as the Georgia Bull Dogs.

Mrs. Tabor is survived by her husband Dillard Tabor, her five sisters Martha Smith (Lamar), Melissa Stephens (Stanley), Sophia Musgrove (Allen), Valerie Dukes (Veluis), Karen Musgrove (Jonathan), and her two brothers George Dukes Jr. (Sakeenah), Cornelius Jackson (Carla).  Daughter Vanessa Hill(Bruce), sons Reggit Collins(Sabrina), Stacey Collins(Bessie), Rodney Collins, Michael Collins(Casey), fourteen grandkids, six great grandkids, and her numerous loving nieces, nephews and family members. Mary is preceded in death by her father George Dukes (Magdalene), mother Hattie Bailey (Albert), and her sister Shelena Ashley (Orville).

 

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at Bush River Baptist Church in Maysville, GA at 2 pm.  Visitation will be held on Friday, December 18, 2015 at Wimberly & Jackson Funeral Home from 7-8 pm.  Professional Services Entrusted to Wimberly & Jackson Funeral Home.
