Mrs. Claudia J. Emerson age 68 of Gainesville passed away on Wednesday November 25, 2015 at her residence.
Graveside Services will be held on Saturday November 28, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Drewery Loggins will officiate. The family will receive friends on Saturday November 28, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Emerson was born on March 17, 1947 in Cumming, Georgia to the late Claude L. Chafin and Margaret Jean Hughes Chafin. She was a member of Harmony Street Baptist Church and was a retired nurse from BJC Nursing Center. She was preceded in death by her parents, and daughter, Connie Culver.
Mrs. Emerson is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Glenda and Michael Kidd of Gillsville, daughter, Beverley Hansen of Homer, son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Tracy Delong of Gainesville, daughter, Carol Bartholow of Gillsville, number of grandkids and great-grandkids, brother, Gary Chafin of Gainesville, sister, Teresa Barnett of Roswell, and brother, Danny Chafin of Gainesville.
